Muhammad Saad, MD, FACC is a board-certified cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He has advanced fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant Cardiology, and Mechanical Circulatory Support.

Dr. Saad completed advanced heart failure and transplant training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and Interventional Cardiology training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. His training at nationally recognized academic institutions has provided extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of both common and highly complex cardiovascular conditions.

His clinical interests include advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac amyloidosis, cardiac sarcoidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, preventive cardiology, longevity medicine, athletic cardiology, and geriatric cardiovascular care.

Philosophy of Care

I believe exceptional cardiology care extends beyond medications and procedures. My goal is to understand the whole patient, identify the root causes of cardiovascular disease, and create individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's health goals and lifestyle.

I emphasize prevention, nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and evidence-based therapies while utilizing advanced diagnostics and modern cardiovascular treatments when needed. My mission is to help patients achieve not only better heart health, but also greater longevity, vitality, and quality of life.
